3. What legal bases do we rely on?

This section applies to users in the EU, UK, Switzerland, and Canada.

The GDPR and UK GDPR require us to explain the valid legal bases we rely on to process your personal information. We may rely on the following:

  • Consent — where you have given permission for a specific purpose. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests — where processing is reasonably necessary for our business interests and does not outweigh your rights.
  • Legal obligations — where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.
  • Vital interests — where processing is necessary to protect someone's safety.

For Canada: We may process your information with your express or implied consent, or in exceptional cases permitted by applicable law without consent.

To the extent tracking technologies are deemed a "sale" or "sharing" under applicable US state laws, you may opt out as described in Section 13 below.

7. How do we handle social logins?

If you choose to register or log in using a social media account (such as Facebook or X), we will receive certain profile information from that provider — typically your name, email address, and profile picture. We use this information only for purposes described in this notice. We are not responsible for how the social media provider uses your information.

8. How long do we keep your information?

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this notice, or as required by law. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. If immediate deletion is not possible (such as data in backup archives), we isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.

9. How do we keep your information safe?

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. However, no electronic transmission or storage system is 100% secure.
